  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups wide egg noodles, uncooked
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Instructions

    1. In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the meat is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain any excess fat.
    2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    3. Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
    4. Add the uncooked egg noodles to the pot. Stir to ensure they are mostly submerged in the liquid.
    5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are tender and have absorbed most of the liquid.
    6. Remove from heat. If using cheese, stir it in until melted and well combined. Serve immediately.
