Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie chicken works best)
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup buffalo ginger sauce or hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat and Prepare. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). While the oven is heating, lightly grease a shallow 1-quart baking dish or a 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Step 2: Combine the Base. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing. Stir them together until the mixture is smooth and well-incorporated. Using softened cream cheese is key to avoiding lumps.
- Step 3: Add Chicken and Cheese. Fold in the shredded chicken and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until the chicken is thoroughly coated in the sauce. Spread the mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish.
- Step 4: Top and Bake. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and the blue cheese crumbles (if using) over the top of the mixture. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the edges are bubbling.
- Step 5: Garnish and Serve. Remove the dish from the oven. Let it sit for 2 or 3 minutes to set slightly. Garnish with chopped green onions for a fresh pop of color and flavor before serving.
