Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs Steak (Sirloin, Ribeye, or New York Strip), cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Season the Steak: Pat the steak cubes dry with a paper towel to ensure a good sear. Place the cubes in a bowl and season generously with salt and black pepper, tossing them to ensure every side is coated.
- Step 2: Sear the Steak: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat until it is shimmering and just starting to smoke. Add the steak cubes in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid crowding the pan. Sear for 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides.
- Step 3: Create the Garlic Butter Sauce: Reduce the heat to medium and add the unsalted butter and minced garlic to the skillet. As the butter melts, use a spoon to coat the steak bites in the garlic butter. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Step 4: Garnish and Serve: Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the fresh chopped parsley and a squeeze of optional lemon juice for a touch of brightness. Serve immediately while hot.
