  • Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup sloppy joe sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian slider rolls
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
    2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion and bell pepper until the meat is fully cooked and vegetables are soft. Drain any excess grease.
    3. Stir in the sloppy joe sauce and simmer on low for 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat.
    4. Without pulling the rolls apart, slice the entire slab of slider rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in the baking dish.
    5. Spread the sloppy joe meat mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls, then top with a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
    6. Place the top half of the rolls back over the cheese.
    7. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, and parsley.
    8. Brush the garlic parmesan butter generously over the tops of the rolls.
    9. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the rolls are toasted and the cheese is melted.
    10. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
