  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 12 slider-sized pieces
  • 12 slider buns (brioche or potato rolls work best)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (like Sriracha or Buffalo sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Optional: Sliced pickles or coleslaw for topping

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the Chicken. Pat the chicken pieces dry with a paper towel. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess, and set them aside on a plate.
  2. Step 2: Fry the Chicken. Heat about half an inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, carefully place the chicken pieces in the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes per side until the coating is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove the chicken and let it drain on a wire rack or paper towels.
  3. Step 3: Mix the Spicy Honey Glaze. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and melted butter. Heat the mixture in the microwave for 20-30 seconds until it is warm and easy to stir. Whisk until the sauce is smooth and well-combined.
  4. Step 4: Glaze the Chicken. Place the cooked chicken pieces into a large bowl. Pour the warm spicy honey glaze over the chicken and toss gently until every piece is thoroughly coated. For extra flavor, you can let the chicken sit in the sauce for a minute to soak up the juices.
  5. Step 5: Assemble the Sliders. Slice your slider buns in half and lightly toast them if desired. Place a piece of the glazed chicken on the bottom bun. Add a few pickles or a scoop of coleslaw if you like extra crunch. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately while hot.
